One return aircraft flight to the United States from the UK emits an amazing 3.6 tonnes of carbon dioxide per person. One return UK flight to Rome emits 1.5 tonnes per person. Last year more than half of the UK’s population made at least one flight.

The year of activities is starting to warm up after the clocks were put forward in UK on 28th March. April is a relatively quiet month for staging tourist events with the bulk of tourist activities kicking off from 1st May Bank Holiday.
