From the slopes of Mount Etna where the intense heat and the rich volcanic soils are known to produce the sweetest lemons. The lemon groves flower in February to April, their star-like flowers producing a distinctive perfume, which is the main flavour in the honey, with a hint of tart citrus.Tropical Forest select honeys from areas of environmental importance, sourcing powerfully flavoured unusual honeys, direct from small scale beekeepers. Honey is blended in the hive from tiny loads of nectar brought back by foraging bees from the flowers in the surrounding landscape. Every kind of flower has an individual nectar, giving each honey a unique flavour, true to its specific origin. Tropical Forest work with village beekeepers in the tropics to increase their income and small scale producers in Europe.
