Palestine is the home of the olive tree, with some of the oldest olive groves in the world, some dating as far back as 1500 to 2000 years. The olive trees produce fruit that supports over half the population and can be seen dominating the agricultural landscape. Zaytoun's organic Fairtrade tree-ripened black olives are smothered in delicious olive oil and seasoned with a dash of sea salt. The olives are a world-first Fairtrade product. They are produced by farming co-operatives within the Palestinian Fairtrade Association who harvest their trees by hand every October.
